Usually, the movies we go see are family friendly. Isn’t that what the back row is for? (It’s a joke, I was young once, I know what the back row at the Drive In is for…) No RV’s or trailers are allowed, which is a bummer because we often have our boat on the back while traveling up and down I-45, and have often thought about stopping. The Galaxy is open 365 days a year, and does not close for rain!īring camping chairs to sit outside your car during the movie.

My husband purchased one of the big wireless speakers from Sams (I think), and we take it with us to the drive in so we can hear while sitting outside of our car! Yep, the Galaxy is the ONLY Drive In I know that still has old fashioned metal speaker boxes to attach to your car window! Of course, you can also use your car stereo, but I love that one day my kids will see a picture of this in a history book, and know what it is! Number One Reason to visit the Galaxy Drive In is pictured right here!

We made the drive out to The Galaxy Drive In in Ennis to fill my movie watching needs tonight, and I’ve got some great Mommy Tips to help you make the most of your visit!ġ.

I LOVE Drive In Theaters! They are, in my opinion, the epitome of Family Friendly entertainment! They have also been, for almost 15 years, about the only way I can see a movie! I don’t know why, but Cinemark and AMC won’t allow you to strap your baby in their car seat during the movie!
